MEGAN'S DUMP CAKE 
This recipe has been in my family for decades, I hope you all enjoy it as much as we do!

1 pkg. yellow cake mix (your favorite)
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling (Comstock, etc.)
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple (drained)
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 cup walnuts or pecans (or more if desired)

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a large bowl, mix yellow cake mix and 1 cup of walnuts or pecans (or more if desired).

In a 13x9-inch pan, put drained pineapple on bottom layer.

On top of the pineapple, spread cherry pie filling. On top of cherry pie filling, spread yellow cake mix with 1 cup of walnuts or pecans. Cut stick of butter into tablespoons (pats) and spread on top of cake mix until mostly covered.

Bake in preheated oven until cherries are bubbly and the top is golden brown, about 30 to 40 minutes.

Do you mix the ingredients from the box cake together before adding walnuts or just use the dry cake mix?
