RUSSIAN TEA CAKES 
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 cup finely chopped nuts

Mix together butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Add flour, salt and nuts. Chill dough.

Roll in 1 into balls. Place 2-1/2 in. apart on ungreased baking sheet.

Bake until set but not brown (10-12 minutes) at 400°F. While still warm, roll cookies in powdered sugar. Cool and roll in powdered sugar again.

I was searching for this type recipe. My Mother made them every Holiday. I found a couple but didn't turn out exactly like I remember. Sister: sent me Moms and this one is exactly the way hers is written. Not made this exact recite yet, I gave it 5 stars as it is exactly the way Mom, makes hers. Originally Flint, MI. Now! I give this a five star rating. Have been making these every year for the past 40 years. First with my children and now with my grandchildren. I too am from Flint, Mi now living in Kingsland Georgia!
