COLD OVEN POUND CAKE 
1 c. Crisco
1 1/2 sticks butter
3 c. sugar
3 c. cake flour
6 eggs
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 tsp. almond, lemon or coconut flavoring

Cream Crisco and butter, add sugar. Beat well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Alternate flour and milk. Add flavoring last. Pour into tube pan and cook at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Begin cake in cold oven.
