EGGNOG CREAM PUFFS | |
24 sm. cream puffs, 2 1/2-3" diameter 1/4 c. cold water 2 env. (2 tbsp.) unflavored gelatin 2 1/2 c. dairy eggnog 2 tbsp. rum or 1 tsp. rum extract 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 c. whipping cream 1/4 c. chopped candied red cherries 6 sq. German sweet chocolate, finely chopped Soften gelatin in water. Heat 1 cup eggnog over low heat to simmering point, add gelatin and stir until dissolved. Remove from heat, add remaining 1 1/2 cups eggnog, rum and vanilla. Chill until partially set. Whip cream until stiff; fold into eggnog mixture. Fold in cherries and chocolate. Chill until mixture mounds when chopped from a spoon. To serve split cream puffs and fill with eggnog filling. Garnish as desired. |
