PORTZIIKI (New Year's Cookies) 
2 c. milk
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar
3 sm. or 2 lg. eggs
1 1/2-2 c. raisins
1 pkg. yeast
4-5 c. flour
Crisco

Melt butter with milk until about 125-130 degrees. Dissolve sugar and salt in milk. In large bowl, mix yeast, 2 cups flour and raisins. Cover; let rise until double. Stir down and let rise again. Drop in hot lard (Crisco) by large tablespoons. Shake in sugar while hot.
