2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. shortening or butter
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. applesauce
1 egg, well beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar

Mix soda in applesauce and let set. Mix shortening and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix in applesauce and soda mixture. Stir in dry ingredients then stir in nuts and raisins. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees.
