Having made this cake a few times I must say people really enjoy it, i usually just do yellow cake mix and add extra vanilla JELLO pudding to it. It tastes great drizzled with chocolate or with mixed berry compote on top. The only issue i have with it is that usually mine takes longer to bake than 65 minutes....

I make this with an orange cake mix,and top it off with an orange segment on each piece. Always get rave reviews and orders for birthdays and graduations.

I put a dollop of canned cherry pie filling and a dollop of Cool Whip or heavy cream on top of that. YUMMY!

The lemon of the cake really makes the filling even better. I served it with Cool Whip lite, and it was delicious! A great cake for spring and for summer bbq's.
