CREAMY CHOCOLATE PIE | |
1 1/4 c. sugar 5 tbsp. flour 3 tbsp. cocoa 2 c. milk 4 eggs, separated (save whites for meringue) 4 oz. cream cheese 2 tbsp. butter 1 tsp. vanilla 1 (9 inch) deep dish pie crust, baked Mix sugar, cocoa and flour in 2 cups milk in 2 quart saucepan. Cook until thick. Remove from heat. Add egg yolks, cream cheese, butter and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Cool 5 minutes and pour into baked pie shell. MERINGUE: 4 egg whites 1/2 c. sugar 3 tsp. cornstarch 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 tbsp. marshmallow creme Beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar, cornstarch, vanilla and marshmallow creme. Spread on top of pie filling and lightly brown in 400 degree oven. |
