SPANISH COFFEE CAKE 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. oil

TOPPING:

Scant 3/4 c. of above mixture
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 tsp. cinnamon

Beat first mixture well. After removing scant 3/4 cup add: 1 egg, beaten 1 scant tsp. baking soda

Spread in 9" square pan or 7"x11" pan. Sprinkle with topping mixture and bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
