BANANA SPLIT CAKE 
1 stick butter, melted
2 c. crushed graham crackers
2 eggs
2 c. 4x powdered sugar
3 to 4 bananas, sliced
1 can crushed pineapple, well drained
1 large container Cool Whip
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 small jar maraschino cherries, chopped

Mix the first 2 ingredients and pat into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Beat the eggs and powdered sugar in electric mixer for 15 minutes. Spread over graham cracker mixture. Cover in order with sliced bananas, crushed pineapple and Cool Whip. Top with pecans and maraschino cherries. Refrigerate overnight.

I've been using this same recipe for 50 years. It's the best. I don't chop the cherries, rather put whole cherry in center of pre-cut slice of cake.
