Excellent! No ketchup for us though. We use whey low instead of sugar. 75% less calories and glycemic impact as well and it tastes JUST LIKE sugar, google it. I used 1 small can of tomato paste and some tomato sauce instead of ketchup and I like my stuff spicy, so I added a little paprika and a lot of cayenne pepper. Didn't really measure stuff either that much and it turned out excellent! No bread for me as well as we just ate it plain. So good still. Very easy to adjust for your taste as well, more mustard, more onion etc. Great recipe.

This recipe is so good and easy to prepare. I also added a half cup of bbq sauce instead of a whole cup of ketchup. Turned out great! My husband likes to eat the leftovers with tortilla chips...

So I have never commented on a "Recipe" but our sloppyjoes turned out delicious! I didn't have vinegar or lemon juice and I wanted to use Tomato Paste over Ketchup I also added a sloppyjoe seasoning packet, loved the sweetness the green pepper and the brown sugar added!
Thanks Much

This was a last minute recipe as we were already browning the hamburger and couldn't find a can of Manwich. Followed it almost completely, but I doubled it, threw in 1/16 cup of regular A1 sauce for a little extra kick and added a can of diced tomatoes and green chillies for texture. I've been a Manwich man for years now and I think you just converted me!

I added a heaping tablespoon of sweet pickle relish and substituted ground venison. It was infinitely better than store bought and the venison added leaner meat.

This is a pretty good recipe. It's alot better than store bought sloppy joes. I think it would be even better if you cut back on the brown sugar a little bit.
