10 sm. cucumbers
4 qt. water
1 c. salt
1 qt. vinegar
1 c. sugar
1 stick cinnamon
12 cloves

In a pot combine water, salt and cucumbers. Let stand for 2 days. Drain; discard liquid. In a pot combine cucumbers, vinegar, sugar, cinnamon and cloves. Bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes. Seal into a 1 quart jar. Yields 1 quart.
