1 c. cornmeal 1 c. flour 1/4 c. sugar 4 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 egg 1 c. milk 1/4 c. shortening Heat oven to 425°F. Put shortening in pan and let heat in oven. Mix cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, egg and milk. After mixing well, pour in heated pan. Spoon melted shortening over top of mix. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. |
