1 qt. strawberries
1 qt. sugar

Hull and wash berries. Put berries in kettle and mash slightly with potato masher. Add sugar. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat but keep at boiling point and boil for 20 minutes stirring occasionally. Put in jars when lukewarm and cool completely before freezing.
