WEDDING POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
2 3/4 c. sugar
6 eggs, one at a time
3 c. cake flour (Softasilk)
1/2 tsp. salt
8 oz. sour cream
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar well. Add eggs one at a time, beating well between each one. Then add flour, salt, sour cream, and vanilla; beat well.

Grease and flour tube pan 10 inches or a 13x9x2 inch pan. Bake in tube pan 1 hour 30 minutes at 300 degrees or bake in square pan 1 hour at 300 degrees or 350 degrees according to your oven temperature.

To make a better cake consider using organic unbleached, organic self rising, organic all purpose or organic cake flour, organic milk, organic butter, raw sugar. These organic products will be more expensive but, they are healthier. The Messenger says these fancy pastries of this world are not good for us, but our people love these desserts. One has to pay the price for the best in bakery.
