POTATO CASSEROLE 
1 (32 oz.) pkg. hashbrowns
1/2 c. plus 2 tbsp. butter
1 c. cream of chicken soup
1 pt. sour cream
1/2 c. milk
2 c. grated cheese (I use cheddar cheese)
1/2 c. chopped green onions
1 c. crushed corn flakes

Set oven at 350 degrees. Melt 1/2 cup butter and pour into 9 x 12 inch baking pan. Add 1/2 package hashbrowns. In separate bowl, mix soup, sour cream, milk, onions, and pour 1/2 of this mixture over hashbrowns in baking pan. Sprinkle 1 cup grated cheese on top, add remaining hashbrowns and pour remainder of mixture on top. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top, then cover with crushed corn flakes. Pour 2 tablespoons melted butter over all. Bake for 45 minutes. (Serves 12 small servings).

Microwave: Prepare as shown above in microwave dish and cook 16 to 20 minutes, turning 1/4 turn 4 times during cooking.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
