FESTIVE SPICED CIDER 
14 (3 1/2 inch) sticks cinnamon, divided
8 whole cloves
1 tsp. whole allspice
3 qt. cider
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 orange
Ground nutmeg

Tie the 2 cinnamon sticks, cloves and allspice in a cheesecloth bag. In a large saucepan, combine cider and sugar and heat for 5 to 6 minutes. Add spice bag and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove bag.

Cut orange into 6 slices and cut each slice in half. Place 1/2 slice of orange in each cup; pour in hot cider, sprinkle with nutmeg and add a cinnamon stick for a stirrer. 12 servings.
