SAWMILL SAUSAGE GRAVY | |
2-4 tbsp. flour 6 c. milk 1 lb. pork sausage Salt Pepper Cayenne pepper Fry sausage in skillet until completely cooked. Remove sausage from skillet with slotted spoon. Using sausage drippings and flour, make a roux (light brown). (Roux = flour and grease to thick/creamy consistency.) Add milk all at once and stir until thickened over medium heat. Add sausage, salt, pepper and cayenne to taste. Serve over fresh baked (homemade) biscuits. |
