SAWMILL SAUSAGE GRAVY 
2-4 tbsp. flour
6 c. milk
1 lb. pork sausage
Salt
Pepper
Cayenne pepper

Fry sausage in skillet until completely cooked. Remove sausage from skillet with slotted spoon. Using sausage drippings and flour, make a roux (light brown). (Roux = flour and grease to thick/creamy consistency.) Add milk all at once and stir until thickened over medium heat. Add sausage, salt, pepper and cayenne to taste. Serve over fresh baked (homemade) biscuits.

Simplicity at its best! And, at times I myself decide to add 1/2-1 lb. bacon as well, for an added treat, even a bit of maple syrup if I'm feeling the sweet tooth calling...
