RAISIN NUT BREAD 
1 c. raisins
1 c. water
1 beaten egg
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 salt
1/2 c. walnuts

Combine raisins and water in saucepan bring to a boil. Remove from heat cool. Mix together egg, sugar, and vanilla. Stir in raisins mixture. Sift together baking powder, soda, and salt. Add to egg and raisin mixture. Mix well. Stir in nuts. Bake in bread pan at 350 degree oven for 50 to 60 minutes.
