PEAR PIE 
5 c. thin sliced pears
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Pastry for 2 pie crust

Sprinkle pears with lemon juice. Toss with sugar, flour and spices. Heap into 9 inch pastry lined pie plate. Dot with butter and cover with top pie crust. Dot with butter, sprinkle with sugar. Bake in 425 degree oven for 50 minutes or until brown. Serve warm and top with vanilla ice cream.
