1 c. sugar
1 lg. beaten egg
1/2 c. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. mashed bananas
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. warm water
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. flour

Cream thoroughly the sugar, egg, butter, salt and vanilla. To this add the bananas and the soda, dissolved in tablespoon of warm water. Sift the flour and baking powder. Add to sugar mixture. Bake at 350 degrees until done about 25 minutes.

CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:

4 oz. cream cheese
1/2 stick butter
2 c. powdered sugar
2 tsp. vanilla

Mix together and frost cooled cake.
