BROWN STONE FRONT CAKE 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
3 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. hot water
1 oz. unsweetened chocolate

Mix together and cook slowly for 30 minutes. Beat until creamy.

EASY CARAMEL BUTTERNUT FROSTING:

1 c. light brown sugar
1/2 stick butter
1/2 c. Carnation evaporated milk
1 box confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. butternut flavoring
1/2 c. chopped nuts (opt.)

Mix sugar, butter and milk. Bring to boil and boil 1 minute. Remove from heat and add confectioners' sugar and flavoring (and nuts, if desired).
