VANILLA BUTTERNUT POUND CAKE | |
3 c. sugar 1/2 c. Crisco 2 sticks butter 3 c. flour 1 c. milk 5 lg. eggs 1/4 tsp. salt 2 tsp. vanilla butternut flavoring Cream sugar and shortenings. Add eggs, one at a time; beat 1 minute after each. Add salt to flour. Add 1/2 flour and milk to egg mixture; beat 1 full minute. Add rest of flour, milk, and flavoring. Beat 1 1/2 minutes. The more you beat, the better the cake. Pour into greased, floured tube pan. Place in cold oven. Bake at 300 degrees for 2 hours. |
