LEBKUCHEN COOKIES 
1 lg. tbsp. lard
2 c. sugar
1 pt. honey (2 c.)
1 tbsp. molasses
1 pt. sour cream (2 c.)
2 tsp. baking soda in hot water
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. cloves
8 c. flour

Cream together lard and sugar; add honey, molasses, sour cream, and soda. Mix together rest of ingredients, adding to flour. Mix together wet and dry ingredients. Add 1 1/2 pound mixed candied fruit, 10 ounce of prune. Let set in cold place 3 days. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Store in covered can, approximately 2 weeks, to ripen. Add slice of bread to keep soft.
