APRICOT BARS 
1 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 c. quick cooking oats
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. butter
1 c. apricot jam

Mix brown sugar, flour, oats, and baking powder. Cut in butter until mixture is fine. Pat three fourths of the mixture into a 9 x 13 inch pan. (Reserving 1 cup for the top). Spread with jam and cover with remaining crumb mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes. Run a knife around outside edge as soon you take from oven. Cut into bars when cool.
