AUNT WILMA'S ICE BOX ROLLS
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 tsp. sugar
2 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 lb. butter
2 tsp. salt
1 c. boiling water
5 c. flour

Dissolve yeast in 1 cup warm water and sugar; set aside.

While you beat eggs, add sugar, butter (cut in chunks) and salt. While stirring briskly, add boiling water. Let cool to lukewarm (will usually be luke warm after stirring). Add yeast and flour. Let stand at room temperature 30 minutes, then cover and put in ice box several hours at least or overnight.

To make rolls, melt 1 to 3 sticks butter in pan. Roll out dough and cut with biscuit cutter (dough is very sticky so it takes a good amount of flour to handle). Dip into melted butter, give a pull and stretch and lap over. Let rise about 2 to 3 hours. Bake 15 minutes at 375 degrees.
