SANTA'S WHISKERS 
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. finely chopped red and green candied cherries
1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
1 c. flaked coconut

In medium mixing bowl beat butter for 30 seconds, add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add milk and vanilla; beat well. Stir in flour, then cherries and pecans. Shape into three 7 inch rolls.

Coat rolls in coconut, wrap in waxed paper or plastic wrap. Chill thoroughly.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cut chilled rolls into 1/2 inch slices. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12 minutes or until edges are golden. Makes about 80 cookies.
