DANISH COFFEE CAKE 
CRUST:

1 c. flour
1 stick butter
1 tbsp. water

Mix flour and butter together. Add water, divide in 2 parts. Pat each on cookie sheet. Making 2 strips 6 x 13 inches.

FILLING:

1 stick butter
1 c. water
1 tsp. almond flavoring
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 eggs

Bring water, butter and flavoring to boil. Remove from heat. Add flour and salt. Add eggs one at a time, beat well after each. Divide mixture on top of the 2 strips. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Frost with powdered sugar, almond flavored frosting. Sprinkle with almonds.
