CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM DESSERT FOR
A CROWD
 
1 pkg. Oreo cookies
1 half gallon vanilla ice cream
2 (19 oz.) hot fudge topping
2 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. melted butter
1 lg. carton whipped cream (Cool Whip)

Crush Oreo cookies, using a food processor or grader. Add melted butter to the crushed cookies. Press crushed cookies out on a cookie sheet. A thin layer is desirable. Open ice cream carton. Cut thin layers of ice cream and lay over crushed cookie layer until completely covered. Place cookie sheet and contents in freezer to harden and set up. Place jars of hot fudge topping in microwave or warm over stove. The hot fudge should be warm, not hot. Take cookie sheet from freezer and pour warm fudge over the ice cream. Set up in freezer until fudge is hard. Take cookie sheet from freezer and spoon Cool Whip or whipped cream over the layer of fudge. Sprinkle chopped walnuts over the whipped cream. Cover the cookie sheet with foil. Freeze. Cut into squares. Serves 20-25 people.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
