PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE 
3 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
4 slices drained pineapple (save juice)
4 maraschino cherries
1/2 regular sized cake mix
Nuts (optional)

Place butter in a round 8 or 9-inch glass dish. Microwave on HIGH 35 seconds. Sprinkle brown sugar over butter. Arrange pineapple slices, nuts and maraschino cherries in bottom of dish. Set aside. Prepare cake mix according to package directions, using pineapple juice as part of the liquid required. Spread cake mix over fruit. Microwave on 50% power 7 minutes. Turn dish. Microwave 2-3 minutes on HIGH power. Let stand 7 minutes. Turn cake out onto a serving plate.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
