FROSTED BUTTERSCOTCH COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour cream
2/3 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and sour cream. Mix well, add dry ingredients. Stir in nuts and vanilla. Bake at 400 degrees.

FROSTING:

6 tbsp. butter
2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
4 tbsp. hot water

Brown butter over low heat. Add remaining ingredients. Spread on cookies while still warm.
