JUBILEE JUMBLES 
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 c. evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped walnuts

GLAZE:

2 tbsp. butter
2 c. sifted powdered sugar
1/4 c. evaporated milk

Mix thoroughly the shortening, sugars, and eggs. Stir in evaporated milk and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients and stir in. Blend in walnuts. Chill 1 hour. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls 2" apart on greased baking sheets. Bake about 10 minutes until delicately browned at 375 degrees. Frost with glaze. Makes 4 dozen.

GLAZE: Heat 2 tablespoons butter until golden brown. Beat in until smooth the powdered sugar and evaporated milk. If too thin add more powdered sugar.
