BRIAN'S CONEY ISLAND HOT DOG
SAUCE

1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
2 medium onions
4 stalks celery
1 tbsp. minced garlic
1 tbsp. white vinegar
1 tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. red pepper
1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. allspice
2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
2 dashes soy sauce
1 tbsp. yellow mustard
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 (12 oz.) can tomato sauce

Mince onions, celery, and garlic with food processor, set aside. Cook ground beef with a little butter until 3/4 cooked, add minced mixture, and cook another 5 minutes. Add all the spices and continue cooking, mixing well.

Cook on low heat for a about 1 hour. Add the tomato sauce and stir it in, mixing well.

Once the sauce is done, mince it with a hand held stick type food processor. For the best authentic results, use Kayem “skinny” beef hot dogs, and the full buns, steamed.
