CONEY ISLAND SAUCE (FOR HOT
DOGS)
 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 med. onion, chopped
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/4 c. ketchup
1/2 c. water
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper (if desired)

Brown hamburger and onion, drain. Add tomato sauce, ketchup and water. Add seasonings and simmer.
