ICE BOX BISCUITS 
2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
2/3 c. milk

Sift and measure flour. Add baking powder and salt. Blend in the shortening, add milk and mix (handling as little as possible). Place on flat surface and pat out 3/4 inch thick. Cut and place in ice box at least 2 hours before serving. Bake in 425 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes. One may keep left over biscuit dough in ice box for several days if desired. Biscuits will still be light and fluffy when baked.
