FROZEN STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE 
1 pt. strawberries
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 env. plain gelatin
2 tbsp. cold water
Sponge cake
1 c. heavy cream

Crush berries and mix with sugar. Soften gelatin in cold water and dissolve over boiling water. Add gelatin mixture to strawberries and mix thoroughly. Cover bottom of refrigerator tray with 3/4 inch layer of sponge cake. Pour strawberry mixture over cake. Chill; when set cover with whipped cream and freeze. Serves 6.
