RED VELVET CAKE 
1 1/2 c. Wesson oil
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. buttermilk
3 eggs
2 tsp. vinegar
2 tsp. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 oz. red food coloring

Mix in order given. Pour into 4 (8 inch) greased and floured pans and bake at 350 degrees until center of cake springs back when gently touched. Cool and ice with frosting below.

FROSTING:

1 lb. box brown sugar
1/2 oz. red food coloring
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 stick butter

Mix well and spread on cooled cake putting a little between each layer and on top and sides.
