IRENE LONG'S CHERRY NUT BREAD 
1 c. brown sugar
Butter, size of an egg
1 egg
2 tsp. baking powder
1 sm. bottle cherries

Pour juice into cup and fill up with milk 1/2 c. walnuts

Put all ingredients into medium size bowl. Mix well. Let stand 20 minutes. Pour into loaf pan. Bake 45 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
