OATMEAL BREAKFAST COOKIES 
2 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 c. old-fashioned rolled oats
1/2 c. wheat germ
1 c. raisins
1 c. vegetable oil
2 eggs
1/2 c. to 3/4 c. milk
1 c. walnuts, chopped

Sift together dry ingredients. Add rolled oats, wheat germ and raisins and mix thoroughly. Add, in order, oil, eggs and 1/2 cup milk. Add more milk if mixture seems too dry. Blend thoroughly and add walnuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet about 1 1/2-inches apart. Bake at 400°F for 10 to 12 minutes.

Makes 6 dozen.
