CHEDDAR APPLE BREAD 
2 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 c. milk
1/3 c. butter, melted
2 c. or 8 oz. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 1/2 c. chopped peeled apples
3/4 c. chopped walnuts or pecans (or 1/4 cup walnuts and 1/2 cup slivered almonds)

Combine dry ingredients. Add combined milk, eggs, and butter. Mix well. Stir in remaining ingredients. Spoon into well greased loaf pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 70 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes; remove from pan.
