GRANNY'S CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
3 c. sugar
3 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking powder
5 eggs
1 1/2 c. sweet milk
Pinch salt

Cream together butter and shortening. Gradually add sugar while continuing to cream. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat well after each addition. Sift together flour and all other dry ingredients. Sift 3 times. (Must do to get Granny's results). Add milk and flour alternately while mixing. Add vanilla. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes in 325 degree oven or until done.

We serve this cake while warm with strawberry or pineapple cream cheese. Delicious. Also we use Bundt pan.
