BEEF STROGANOFF | |
6 lb. beef, cut in cubes 1 c. flour 4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. black pepper 6 tbsp. butter 3 c. chopped onions 3 cloves minced garlic 2 c. water 6 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 can tomato sop 3 cans mushrooms 3 c. buttermilk Combine flour, salt, and pepper. Roll meat in mixture. Melt fat in skillet and brown meat slowly on all sides. Add onion, garlic, water, Worcestershire sauce, tomato soup and liquid drained from mushrooms. Cover and simmer about 2 hours. Stir in mushrooms and buttermilk and cook only until heated through. Serve with mashed potatoes, noodles, or rice. Serves 15. |
