PEAR/PEACH PICKLES 
6 lbs. peeled fruit
2 or 3 sticks cinnamon
1 piece ginger root
2 c. vinegar
3 lbs. sugar
1/2 tbsp. cloves

Drop fruit in boiling syrup, until it can be pierced with a straw. Let stand overnight. Pack and process in hot water bath or heat and seal.
