CRUST: 4 c. flour 1 c. lard 1 1/2 tsp. salt 8-9 tbsp. water FILLING: 2 lb. hamburger 8 med. potatoes, cubed 3 carrots, cubed 1 c. turnips, cubed 2 med. onions, cubed Salt & pepper to taste Make the pie crust divide dough into 6 portions and roll the size of a 10 inch plate. On one half of the dough place raw vegetables and meat filling. Dot with butter. Fold uncovered portion of dough over the filled part and crimp the edges, prick top of pastry with fork and place on cookie sheet. Bake 1 hour at 400 degrees. Serves 6. |
