BOHEMIAN BRAID 
1 cake Fleischmann's yeast
2 tbsp. lukewarm water

Soften yeast in water.

Scald:

1/2 c. milk

Add:

2 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt

Cool to lukewarm.

When cool add:

1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
Yeast mixture
1 egg, beaten
2 1/2 c. flour

Add flour gradually until a soft dough, which can be kneaded, is formed. Turn out onto a lightly floured board and knead until smooth. Place in a lightly greased bowl and allow to double in bulk. Then punch the dough down and divide it into 9 parts. Roll each portion out into a long thin roll.

Braid 4 rolls loosely and place them on a greased baking sheet. Then braid 3 portions and place on top of the first braid. Twist last 2 portions together and place them on top, tucking ends under. Cover and let rise until doubled in bulk. Bake in 375 degree oven for about 40 minutes or until done. Then brush with icing and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
