BROWNIE CAKE 
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 pinch salt
3/4 c. oil
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk (used canned milk for richer flavor)
2 eggs
1 c. boiling water
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix first 9 ingredients together well. Add milk and eggs last. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees in 9 x 13 inch pan. If using glass pan 325 degrees for 30 minutes.

FROSTING:

4 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. milk
1/2 c. butter
1 (16 oz.) box powdered sugar
1 c. nuts

Boil together first 3 ingredients and remove from heat. Sift powdered sugar and add to frosting. Add chopped nuts last. Frost cake while still warm.
