PLAIN CUSTARD 
1 pt. milk, heat until skim forms
2 tbsp. flour, heaping
4 tbsp. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. butter

Make a paste of flour, sugar and egg and stir into hot milk. Remove from heat and add vanilla and butter.

For chocolate custard add 4 more tablespoons sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa to the paste.

For coconut custard add 1/4 cup coconut after removing from heat.
