CHOCOLATE MERINGUE PIE 
2 c. milk
1/3 c. flour
1/4 c. dry cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
3 egg yolks, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. butter

Mix flour, cocoa and salt in saucepan. Use enough milk to mixture to make a paste. Add beaten egg yolks and mix well. Add remaining milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Remove from fire and add vanilla and butter. Pour into baked pie shell and cover with meringue. Brown in oven at 375 degrees.

MERINGUE:

3 egg whites
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
6 tbsp. granulated sugar

Beat egg whites until stiff. Add cream of tartar and beat well. Slowly add sugar. Spoon onto cream pie and brown in oven.
