CHILI 
1 lb. ground beef
2 (15 1/2 oz.) cans of red kidney beans
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 lg. white onion (chopped)
1/2 c. king syrup
1/4 c. vinegar white
1/2 tsp. ground red pepper
1/2 tsp. salt

Brown ground beef, add chopped onion cook about 5 minutes. Add syrup stir well, next add vinegar. Stir in kidney beans and tomato paste. Add red pepper and salt. Let simmer for about 1 hour. Serve with crackers or homemade bread. This is mild, add more ground red pepper if you like it hot.
