BLONDE BROWNIES 
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1/3 c. butter
1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chocolate bits

Sift flour, baking powder, soda, and salt together. Stir in nuts. Melt butter in saucepan; stir in sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla; add flour mixture and mix well.

Spread batter in greased 9x13 pan. Sprinkle chocolate bits over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Cool.
